2.00 pm. 7m/1000' from Wardle Square, Ramsden Road, Wardle, Rochdale off A58, Rochdale - Halifax road (GR912171). £3 on day. Parking near start very restricted, park at reservoir, just up road from Wardle Square.
Popular local race. Dummy finish!
12.noon. 4m/720' from near Craff Vale church, (GR SD999232). £3 on day. Inc Cragg Vale May Fete; stalls, bouncy castle, food (bacon butties), maypole dancing etc.
11.30 am. 7m/1350' from Mytholmroyd Community Centre (GR 011260). £3.00 on day.
12 noon. 3m/950. Tanners Waterside Mill, Greenfield, Saddleworth (GR SE002038). £3 on day. Really good course for a shortie.

7.15 pm. 4m/1000' from the Quarry Road, two thirds of a mile out of Edenfield on the A680 Rochdale Road (GR 808186). £3 on day. Toilets/parkings/registration at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, half mile from start.
Good for descenders
2.00 pm; 6m/2400' from Coniston Hall (GR 332963). £5 entry to Fair.
Weekend away - Coniston or Prague! If going book accommodation ASAP.
11.30 am. 7.1m/800' from Old Rishworthians RUFC, Copley Village, Halifax (GR 085224 on OL21). £3.00 on day. Mainly on bridleways and moorland.
6.45pm. 5m/1200' from Taylor Street, Whitworth, near Rochdale (GR SD885177). £2 on day. Registration at Hallfold schoolrooms, Hall Street.
11.00 am. 10m/1700' from Kiln Green Church, Diggle, Saddleworth (GR 007080). £3 on day only.
Mainly tracks/paths. Full body cover required
The
above races have been hand picked by a panel of experts for the club championship
and the Local Fell Grand Prix with Radcliffe, Rochdale and Rossendale
joining us. They all have marked courses, many have nice additional features
like special events, "chip butties" etc. are varied in category
and length and the majority are promoted by friendly local clubs.

All competitors are requested to have on hand, at each event, full body protective clothing, whistle, map of the area, compass, and emergency food, ie Mars bar or the like. It is a rare occasion to use the equipment on these marked local races but carrying them gives confidence and we are all in the same boat.
